pulang

im going to just ramble so please bear with me if u find the sentences incoherent.

trip to italy was great but i think italy, or at least rome and florence, were no better than malaysia. the country, to me, macam 3rd world juga. in fact, i think, malaysia provides better facilities when it comes to mommies with babies.

shopping was great in florence!! the leather..oohh...sungguh best. i did not find anything great at the mall, but boy...at the leather market i grabbed a handbag, jacket, booties and gloves for andi, and a pair of gloves for me. burnt a hole in my pocket but it is of good quality and i simply love my purchases! i also bought some posters (in florence) and tiny paintings (in rome) untuk rumah saya di BSP (tudiaa...punyalah berpandangan jauh. takpe..yg penting idea tu dah ada..hih hih)

i walked a lot!! the buildings were impressive. i went to the vatican city and visited the pope's moseleum. kinda freaky for me. i think the whole place were too world-ly, what with the stautes, ukiran and etc. everywhere you turn ada kepala orang kat sana sini...hmmm....made me wonder cemana dorang concentrate nak semayang? masjidilharam, to me (no offense to orang lain) is still the bestest spiritual place there is. period.

i tried authentic italian food and loved it. oh...andi was well recieved by the italians. three seperate incidents proved that!.
1. when i was in florence at the bridge apetah nama dia..while waiting for my aunt to choose her bangle, i decided to take the opportunity to change andi's diaper. but there were no wc to be found and so the sales assistant suggested i go to a kedai makan to change his diaper there.she also told me to at least buy something since i used the toilet kan. so, after changing andi, i went to the counter and started to tengok (ok...drool cos it looked so sedaappp) the pastries trying to decide which one i wanted. pastu ada sorang pompuan tua started to speak to me in italian. i was like..apa minah ni cakap ni. but from her gestures, i sort of had a feeling that she wanted to pay for whatever i odered, cos dia siap mcm tanya tak nak oder minum ke. but i wasnt too sure, so saya hanya pilih 2 jenis pastry. proceeded to pay and she came to me cakap nononononononono....dan membayar untuk saya. Syukur ALHAMDULLILLAH!

2. at the hotel in florence, i bought 2 bottles of mineral water and a can of coke. the cashier said it costs 6euros so i handed him exactly 6 euros. then, the hotel owner came and started to coo coo dan main2 cak cak dgn dani..pastu came to me and handed me 2 euro balik. SYUKUR!!

3. i post postcards to my baby at every destination i go. so in rome, i wanted to buy stamps. it was 1.15 and post office were supposed to close at 2. tapi when i was there, tekan2 nombor, tak keluar. jadik saya beratur seperti the other italians. then, a lady stood behid me and started to speak to me in italian. but i couldnt understand. ada mamat berdiri depan tanya do u speak english..i said yes. n he said, in Italy, its like a government rule that women with children should be served first. so, he told me why dont you potong q and pegi jer depan tu. i pulak, being the naive malaysian yg pemalu tak kena tempat, malu la kan tetiba nak potong q orang. so i said takpela...i nak beli stamp je pon. tapi...tiba2 mamat ittew meninngikan suara ke arah pekerja2 pos ofis dan sound depa tak serve i, boleh? siap ala2 gaduh sket2 hingga membuatkan seorang officer came to me and tanye apoa yg saya nak buat. i was, dgn muka blur dan agak segan, beratur-ing to get stamps i told her. n she brought me to the front of the q..n i got my stamps!! (well actually, dorang amik postcard and tampalkan lagik..hih hih.

theres a halal italian restaurant in florence. go !!! the food is GOOODDDD...
