berpeluh di musim sejuk??? bukan secara literal, tapi metafora ajer.

Today, I finally finished writing my text for my presentation next week. Alhamdulillah. Esok nak print out and edit. Pastu, nak kena prepare powerpoint plaks. Kalau dulu, mesti buat powerpoint dulu, pastu baru pikirkan text. But now, i do my work the other way round. I find that it works better for me.

After that, I need to siapkan my final assignment (hopefully!) for my phd studies. woot woot!!! tak sabarnya nak submit, actually. Tapi tulis tak habis lagi. hehe.

Lepas tu, haritu ai pergi jumpa the lady yang uruskan pasal phd studies ni, mikusch, just to check on the borang I sent to be approved. Actually, I minta approval supaya paper yang i present last may to be acknoledged dan diberi mata ects. i ingat dapat 3, tapi depa bagi 5!!! Syukur sangat sangat. Ini bermakna, ai dah ada 2 extra credits, dan tak perlulah nak sit for the exam (that I thought i need to sit for this month). Selain itu, I submitted another borand, requesting for my contribution to a book chapter be given ects credits as well. I really hope I will get some, inshaAllah (hoping for 4ects!).

Then, I also met my SV. Ingat nak discuss what I have written so far. But he said he wants to see the completed thesis on the 31st. Maknanya, I dah kena print out, macam nak pi hantar binding already. Just for him to see. Ok boss. So, sementelah nak pi edit my presentation text esok, ingat nak edit my chapter 6 as well. I see that I need to add some more stuff for my chapter 6. So, since Dr Sunshine pon oncall esok, maka I forsee myself spending some time at Stabux with sidekick in tow. :)

I also met one of my friend who has completed her phd just recently!! She told me that she submitted her thesis in June and was called for viva in october. But another friend, yang his visa was about to expire was able to get his viva done before he left. So, I am hoping that luck will be on my side and that I sempat viva before I leave. However, if tak sempat, I akan balik dulu. :( Cuma a bit the hassle lah nak kena apply for viva from Mesia. Oh well, inshaAllah, all will be ok.

All in all, I cannot wait to perabiskan my assignment.

On my trip to paris, I plan to write my acknowledgement page.

Selain itu, other stuff I need to do for my thesis are:
1. resume
2. abstract (english and deutsch!)
3. check references
4. double check spelling
5. formating
6. check table of contents

maybe i can get nana to help me when she is here. hih hih.

Lepas tu, bolehlah merdeka kejap sebelum viva. huhu. :)

Oh..kawan ai kata, nanti kita akan dapat kertas yang examiner tulis review. Pastu dalam tu akan ada soalan2. Maka untuk viva, kita prepare untuk jawab soalan ittew and also prepare to explain our work. fuh.

Oh..lagi satu, katanya, convo di sini is in January and October. Maka saya sangat amat berharap akan berkonvo October 2012, inshaAllah.

Ya Allah, permudahkanlah urusan ku. Amin.

pasal nak book tiket

You see, I always fly with Qatarair, because their rates are very competitive. But tadi, when I compared their rate to k.lm, the latter is cheaper.

Pastu, tergerak di hati nak compare pulak, when would be the last week that they would allow me to board a flight. Q kata, 32 weeks would be the last week with a doctors letter, if between 33 and 35 weeks, kena go through some panel doctor and etc. Pendek kata, leceh and theyols pon suggest better fly before 32 weeks untuk mengelakkan daripada kecewa tetiba tak bleh naik flight. So, tadi, I dah senyum-senyum dah memikirkan prospek nak balik cepat (in approximately 5 weeks y'all!).

Tapi, bila I balik rumah, I cek jadual kelas. And if I balik awal, I would miss a few topics which are very very very interesting to me and which I think can be used for my research. *geek mode* Hmm..tiba-tiba terasa sayang pulak la nak balik cepat dan miss kelas menarik kan? Jadi, I tried my luck dan email klm plak. Malangnya, the local ticketing office adalah sangat hampeh dan memberi jawapan based on what I can find online saja! I nak details, faham tak???? So, I did the next best thing. I cari dia punya fb page. And lo and behold, terus dapat answer within minutes!!!!

So, I guess I would be going back on my 35th week after all. That is approximately 10 weeks from now. Cannot wait.

And now, I nak cari tiket. hi hi.

my first meeting

today, for the first time ever, i sat down with my sv to borak2. i apologised profusely as i had to bring andi along (x dak bbsitter n meeting not within daycare punye time) but he was so cool about it. x kesah pon n siap asked me to unstrap andi supaya andi boleh crawl around.

anyhoo, i gave him my proposal n he said he will read through n we will work from there. pastu, dia tanya, which university do i come from in mesia? mak cakap la uni mak. pastu, agaknye dia ingat semua uni sama jer..dia tanye..kenai tak drabuhassan? i said of cos kenai. rupanya dia juga sv kepada mamat ittew (yg dolu2 i emailed tapi he didn't bother to reply my mail okeh! sentaps jap). n i said. "funny thing is, he didnt have to learn deutsch before beginnning his phd". n sv said, when abuhassan was there, it was not a regulation to have basic german. it was only made a regulation masa mak masuk uni. what luck kan?

pastu, dia tanya how long have i been here. i said, since nov08. but i could only register for phd courses this sem as i had to do 1 year of german. n we talked about the new phd structure in which phd is 3 thn instead of 2 thn (yes..tht abusassan was lucky okeh!). so sv said...takpe..i akan bertarung di medan perang so that you pon buat phd dgn struktur lama. i said...tolong sgt. saya amat2 menghargai apa yg prof nak buat untuk saya ni. sebab lagipon, scholarship saya untuk 3 tahun sahaja..jadi sangat seswai if saya dapat ikuti struktur pengajian yang dolu.

then, he asked for my phone number. i really hope that i get to buat the phd ol structure itu. then, i wouldnt have to be here for another additional year. i want to finish my studies as soon as i can. btw, sv kata supervision hanya 2 atau 3 kali per semester. adakah ini bermakna mak lebih banyak masa untuk berjalan-jalan? Astaghfirullah...tadi baru bersungguh nak habis cepat. okeh. fokus.

Syukur.

I sat for my oral exam today and they told me that I got through! Although cukup makan je (i only got 4) tapi saya tetap bersyukur cos that means i can start working on my PhD for real baybee. *nervous plak* soalan oral tadi berkenaan Frauen in Regierung dan Lernen.

i am quite confused as to what classes to take this coming semester. When i looked through the website, i found two courses offered for phd students. tapi, the thing is, i am not sure if i am supposed to take some classes from outside my school. pening pening. and registration is online. bab register ni, bleh plak online..bila benda lain like answering emaii, idak plak lajunyer.

anyhoo, that piece of paper which says i passed my Deutcsh hanya boleh diambil on thursday. so i guess after that, i'd go straight to register myself as a student. pastu, nak tanye courses apa yg patut diambil dan kemudian register for those. ai nervous sebab my courses will be in German u ols!!! tapi, as a precaution, i bought an mp3 player which i plan to record my classes so i can listen to it again and again. ok tak plan saya?

and, because classes starts on oct 6th, i dono if sempat pi melawat ayang. i prolly can pegi masa weekend or something..i will figure this out.

pasal andi, he was cared for by an indonesian babysitter when i went for my exam. she was ok la kot...

ni, cemana agaknyer anakanda nak ditinggalkan di krippe bila mama start kelas?? takpe..kelas 1.5 hours je sayang...i hope we'll both manage. Semoga Allah permudahkan perjalanan kita ni kan Andi?

gunakan tanpa was was

Setelah meng-consult para pakar perubatan kanak-kanak di suatu hospital kerajaan, we have decided to go on with AA's rotavirus vaccination.

Drug ittew telah diluluskan oleh KKM and apparently status halalnyer tak penah dipersoalkan.

p/s: masa kat playground tadi berkenalan dgn seorang warga indonesia. tried asking her if she knows anyone who can babysit n she said she'll ask around.
p.p/s: hv decided i'll just try and do the exam. wish me luck!

yakin boleh

i am very happy with my class this sem. i made friends and they are nice, although a bot younger than me..huhu.

neways, while talking to one of my new found friend today, i found out something.

i knew that he hopes to pass the deutch diplom by october, like me. so i asked him of his plans after our current deutch kurs. is he also planning to enter the summer sem?

then, he told me something which i never knew before. he said that the summer sem, is called b2 and there's no text book, and we'd just be practicing our writing skills and speaking (rasenyela). so he said that he is going to sit for the deutch diplom after this kurs. kalu pass, tak yah buat summer sem and bleh balik cuti2 tapi kalu tak pass, baru buat summer sem.

dan, mendengar tentang perkara tersebut, mak terus excited ok! i want to do that to. so now, my plan is to sit for my diplom after this sem (so most prolly in july). if saya berjaya lulus, i'll be in malaysia for posa and raya u ols!!! wohooooo....

tapi if tak, then u'll see me beraya di uk lah tahun ini (nada sedih lite lite).

so, untuk menjayakan plan saya ini, i have to start working extra hard. i plan to enroll myself in extra speaking classes (40euros for a whole sem...1.5 hours a week), buy the local newspaper to read about current issues (cos i heard the exam punya essay question ada themes mcm globalisation and etc...and dear god, i dont know what globalisation is in deutch, boley?), start listening to deutch radio programs, and buy books to practice for the exam. kawan saya akan update me about the books.

anyhoo, im kinda excited with the possibility of going back in july (till september u ols cos registration is in october!!! wohoooo!!)

doakan saya berjaya dengan rancangan ini ok.

p/s: saya masih mencari-cari penjaga buat anak saya.. harap2 dapat.

- geran kereta saya sudah dijumpai di rumah saya!
- cuti Dr Sunshine telah diluluskan untuk sebulan (at least his boss has agreed to let him go on leave kan?)
- saya boleh mendaftar untuk kelas German saya pada bulan April.
- saya adalah orang pertama yang diberitahu oleh rakan baik saya, Encik Ikan Altis, tentang suatu berita gembira.
