AA update

and so today, i went to the frauenklinik for my 35th week check up. yer...saya dah 35 weeks preggers and technically only have 5 weeks left. yikes!!!

anyhoo, i couldnt sleep last nite. was tossing and turning sampai about 3am...pastu, switch on lappie and watched citer melayu...ihihk...

neway, altho i slept late, i had to wake up early cos my appointment was at 8.20am. sesampai di spital tersebut, i registered and waited to be called. over here, even tho this is a government hospital, i didnt hv to wait for a long time to be seen by the doctor. i didnt even sempat isi the epidural and spinal anesthesia form, and already i was called into the room.

in the room, they began speaking to me in german.

so i said," My deutch ist schlect!".

And the obstretician started talking in english. He said,"If you want to give birth here, you will have got to get a translator. If not, there's no way you can deliver here. Cos i need to talk to you and explain to you about some important stuff."

i terus tergamam dan panik city jap. siapakah yang boleh jadik my translator? and ada gak rasa heran...why can't they speak to me in english? as it is, they were speaking to me in english pon masa tu kan?? even the nurse yg dedulu kengkonon takleh cakap english pon depan doktor mak aiiii....bleh plak la kan speaking dengan saya!!!!

and then, maybe because he heard me replying in english, he asked me :"you can speak english?" and i said "yes". and so he said, kalau gitu takpelaa....

then, he proceeded by saying "ok...u have to go for a c-section"

needless to say, my face changed. "why?" i asked.

"because ur first delivery was c-sect and i don't hv your full surgical report to explain what type of incision was done. c-sect is the safest for you and your baby. we don't want to risk ur utures being ruptured."

pulak dah!

"but, my incision was made horizontally," said i confidently.

"yes,the outer incision may have been horizontal, but i need to know how u were cut from the inside. if it is vertical, c-sect is THE ONLY way for you to deliver the baby," he said sambil demo with his hands how a cut was made.

tsk.

and so, i asked him what if i could get him the full surgical report?

"When can you give it to me? I need it as soon as possible. If the report is not detailed enough, I will personally call you," he said.

tu dia. errr....

"You can fax it to the hospital," he said. Sambil-sambil tu, I could see the nurse scribbling away, and dalam beberapa saat, came by my side and gave me the fax number.

"Ok, I will get it by next week," i promised sesambil dalam hati tu bersyukurla laki i keja kat spital yang i beranak tu kan. phew!

he also said that i might require special attention. tapi mak memang suka pon special2 nieh..hihihi..

next, he took my blood.bergelentiub-tiub. he said just to prepare in case i have to go for c-sect. hmmm...okei..mak pasrah jer u ols.

then, came the exciting part. the ultraschall!!! he prodded my belly with that equipment. i could see my AA!!

boy, has he grown! i am pleasantly suprised to learn that his weight is approximately between 2.3 and 2.5kg. I was initially quite worried cos i wasn't putting on that much weight. infact, this time around, i can still fit into my pre-preggers jeans u ols!!

Neway, AA still has about 5 more weeks to put on weight!! I really hope he will be a 3kg++ baby. (berangan kan..padahal tak sedar diri yg if baby besar pon there is a high risk kena c-sect).

lepas tu, mak tanya beberapa soalan seperti kos beranak (just pay for katil which is 8euro per nite), how long do i have to stay in the hospy after a normal delivery (usually 5 days), how many ppl can watch me go through delivery (1 family member) and what happens if i rasa contraction/water burst (call ambulance).

so, my next appointment is on march 9th, 1 day after my edd. tau tak sebab apa? sebab 8 march tu sunday. so terpaksa buat apt on monday gittew!!
