Mula-mula, we went there to beli lampu. This was when I was back last year. We bought a bunch of lights and 2 kipas jer. Harga kipas dia, memang murah berbanding dengan kedai lain yang we ols survey. Even the lights pon!! I saw the same light I bought for my living room dijual di Nilai 3 dengan 300% lebih mahal dari apa i beli kat houses lighting. the same lights!!! sama sejibik sejibun!!!
Anyway, a few weeks ago, Dr Sunshine started to cari storage water heater plak. He went to a lot of shops. We have decided to intall Joven storage water heater. Maka, dia dok compare-compare la prize kan. Kedai joven sendiri, mak aii...mahal uols! So, i cakap la kat Dr Sunshine, cer check kat Houses Lighting, ada jual tak storage water heater. Cos the last time I went, I nampak that water heater biasa tu ada. So Dr Sunshine pon pergila. Dan...harga yang dijual di sana almost 40% less that harga kat kedai lain!!!
Maka, Dr Sunshine akan ke sana lagi sekali untuk memborong lampu, kipas dan juga water heater. hehe.
So, if you all are in the midst of buat rumah and etc, do visit this shop. Memanglah, macam jauh sikit kan. Tapi berbaloi baloi!!

lately, my skype sessions with dr Sunshine will be filled with talks about our house. He has been surveying harga furniture, curtain, water heater dan sebagainya. And, masa dia dok survey-survey furniture tu, dia tengoklah jugak wardrobe. haa...ni la yang i nak sharing-is-caring-kan today!!!
you see, in our master bedroom, there is a space for a walk in wardrobe. saiznya lebih kurang 7ft x 9 ft. I have been dreaming of doing a built in wardrobe to fill up the space, tapi banyak yang mahal uols!!! Tapi, masa dr Sunshine pergi survey furnitures tu, dia nampak la wardrobe kan. And he suggested to me, why not kita beli like 2 wardrobes and put it next to each other, so nampak macam ala-ala walk in la kan. i was like..errr...
pastu, on another one of his surveys, dia jumpa wardrobe yang L shape!!! wah..menariknyer. Jadi dia pon tanya la tokei kedai tu, cemana depa jual wardrobe tu. Tokei tu kata la, well the wardrobe comes in a few sizes, and you can pilih what you want to put inside. We just give the measurements, and they will pasangkan at our house. Well, bunyi macam buat built in wardrobe jugak kan?? well ya!!! memang macam buat walk in wardrobe. EXCEPT, untuk deal macam ni, kita yang kena ukur sendiri ruang tu! No one will come to our house and ukur2 exactly how big the space is.
BUT, the quote which the tokei gave is way cheaper than getting a built in wardrobe, in which orang datang ukur kat rumah tu!!! untuk L shape wardrobe (satu side tu 7 ft, satu side tu lagi 9ft dan tinggi 9 ft), will cost us less than 5K. And, dia guna solid wood, not melamine atau chip wood.
Actually, I rasa harga ni murah lah. Sebab, I have been surveying on the net and rata-rate dorang quote between 330 above untuk 1 feet (tu paling murah i jumpa on the net for built in wardrobe). Bila kira untuk size yang ai nak, it is more than 5K.
So, I rasa, this ukur sendiri wardrobe adalah seswai untuk sesiapa yang mengimpikan built in wardrobe, tetapi is on a budget. You still get to pick how your inside looks like, the type of pintu you want and etc.
Cer try!!! Dr Sunshine is going to ukur the room again and will book the wardrobe soon.
p.s: The bunk bed we bought has arrived!!! Next is to beli curtain and kipas and the boys' room will be almost complete.

risau
Dr Sunshine told me that my mom's hand is swollen dan ada puss, katanya mungkin tercucuk ikan bilis. I am sooooooooooooooooooo worried!!!
I am also guilty sebab if it was ikan bilis, mesti thats the ikan bilis for me which she kirim-ed through my friend.
and maybe uols rasa, why nak risau bagai kan??
Well, my dad had a swollen ibu jari kaki as well, and ada puss. And, he had diabetis, which made it difficult for it to heal. They had to cut the toe off. And a few days after that, he passed away. :(
Memang technically he died because of heart attack. But, the thought of my mak having puss on her anggota badan scares me!! Hubby is going to perform a minor op to clear up the puss. I really really really hope that it will get better soon. Thank god she does not have diabetes. Tapi saya tetap risau. TSK.

ok. saya dah selesai buat presentation terakhir dalam karier saya sebagai pelajar phd. :) (this does not include viva ok)
next, is obviously assignment terakhir. tapi assignment terakhir ni tricky sikit. instead of buat paper berdasarkan soalan yang dia dah tulis siap-siap like the other students, my prof nak i buat journal artikel. tula, buka lagi mulut kan, tanya cemana nak get my papers published. well, it is good, kan? At least, when she reads it and corrects it, I boleh dapat feedback to improve my paper and hopefully can send it to an established journal.
anyway, she extended the deadline to feb 15th (syukur!!!). I am sooooo glad because i would not have time to write it, otherwise. yela, dengan nana nak datang, pastu nak pi paris, and not to mention, nak submit my thesis. *lap peluh*
oklah. i don't really have the mood today. actually, i plan to correct my chapter 6 since i edited in on paper yesterday. tapi.....heheh
worait.

berpeluh
berpeluh di musim sejuk??? bukan secara literal, tapi metafora ajer.
Today, I finally finished writing my text for my presentation next week. Alhamdulillah. Esok nak print out and edit. Pastu, nak kena prepare powerpoint plaks. Kalau dulu, mesti buat powerpoint dulu, pastu baru pikirkan text. But now, i do my work the other way round. I find that it works better for me.
After that, I need to siapkan my final assignment (hopefully!) for my phd studies. woot woot!!! tak sabarnya nak submit, actually. Tapi tulis tak habis lagi. hehe.
Lepas tu, haritu ai pergi jumpa the lady yang uruskan pasal phd studies ni, mikusch, just to check on the borang I sent to be approved. Actually, I minta approval supaya paper yang i present last may to be acknoledged dan diberi mata ects. i ingat dapat 3, tapi depa bagi 5!!! Syukur sangat sangat. Ini bermakna, ai dah ada 2 extra credits, dan tak perlulah nak sit for the exam (that I thought i need to sit for this month). Selain itu, I submitted another borand, requesting for my contribution to a book chapter be given ects credits as well. I really hope I will get some, inshaAllah (hoping for 4ects!).
Then, I also met my SV. Ingat nak discuss what I have written so far. But he said he wants to see the completed thesis on the 31st. Maknanya, I dah kena print out, macam nak pi hantar binding already. Just for him to see. Ok boss. So, sementelah nak pi edit my presentation text esok, ingat nak edit my chapter 6 as well. I see that I need to add some more stuff for my chapter 6. So, since Dr Sunshine pon oncall esok, maka I forsee myself spending some time at Stabux with sidekick in tow. :)
I also met one of my friend who has completed her phd just recently!! She told me that she submitted her thesis in June and was called for viva in october. But another friend, yang his visa was about to expire was able to get his viva done before he left. So, I am hoping that luck will be on my side and that I sempat viva before I leave. However, if tak sempat, I akan balik dulu. :( Cuma a bit the hassle lah nak kena apply for viva from Mesia. Oh well, inshaAllah, all will be ok.
All in all, I cannot wait to perabiskan my assignment.
On my trip to paris, I plan to write my acknowledgement page.
Selain itu, other stuff I need to do for my thesis are:
1. resume
2. abstract (english and deutsch!)
3. check references
4. double check spelling
5. formating
6. check table of contents
maybe i can get nana to help me when she is here. hih hih.

belian
- dr Sunshine bought the boy's bed!! its a double decker bed and needless to say, Dani dah chop nak the top bunk. So bawah nanti will be Aaron and Andi.
- My dad's step sis was found dead at her home. She was single and lived alone. She is a very nice lady and will be missed. :( Yang sedih, the police cakap she may have been dead since Friday but since dia tinggal sorang, no one realised. Her neighbour, today,bought her some roti canai but just left the plastic up front. Dah lama tu,dia tengok plastik tak berangkat. She was worried so she told her hubby and her hubby kata, cer pi cek. Dia pon pi la dekat rumah tu and could smell something. So she waited for her son, and son dia masuk inside and found my auntie. :( She fell down and bled kat kepala. I cannot imagine how she must have felt. Was she in pain but tak leh nak capai telefon. Or was she unconsious terus? No one knew. Yang I sedih, my Along said, entah-entah Along pon nanti macam ni. Tsk. I told her, I WILL NEVER let her live alone. If I am not around, I will make sure that Dani will take care of her, inshaAllah. And she said, even mak kata, jangan macam tu. I am sure adik (me) will jaga awak. And when I told this to Dr Sunshine, I am so glad that he told me that Along will obviously live with us, even before I suggested it to him. Syukur to have a husband like you babe!
- I have been the queen of procastination!!! I baru aje nak start buat my assignment and prepare for presentation. tsk!

hari ni, i nak meng-sharing is caring-kan benda yang i heard ustaz don talked about on youtube. I really thought long and hard about it, and I find that there are truths in what he said. Apakah??
Well, basically, he was talking about children. Macam mana anak itu terbentuk perangai and sikapnya. He said, ada bapa imam shafie cakap (tak silap i it was imam shafie), masa ditanya, macam mana dia boleh dapat anak yang sangat genius macam imam shafie, dia jawab, it all starts with pemilihan ibunya. So, ibu memang memainkan peranan penting dalam hal ni.
Then, he was also talking about al-imran's wife, masa mengandungkan Maryam. The wife cakap, lahir nanti, dia dah bernazar that the anak akan berbakti kepada Allah kat Baitul Maqdis. And true enough, anak dia berbakti, sehingga melahirkan seorang Nabi.
Pastu, Ustaz Don talked about himself. Dia kata, masa mak dia mengandungkan dia, mak dia cakap dan doa that he will be a fisabillilah. And true enough, dia jadik ustaz.
So, it got me thinking, doa ibu, masa mengandung, unto the anak yang dia kandung, akan effect kandungan dia.
So, my friends yang tengah pregnant tu, rajin-rajin la cakap dengan your baby about what you wish him or her to be. I remember, everytime I mandi, I told my baby that nanti kena mandi 2 kali sehari cos I didnt want them to not like to mandi...hehe...And Alhamdullilah, my boys have no problem nak suruh pergi mandi. Ok, I should have given a better contoh..hahahah..
Apa pon, talk to them. And make lots of doa supaya anak yang kita kandung tu jadi orang yang baik, soleh, mendengar kata, sihat, bijak, pandai. And sometimes, kita kena be aware of what we think of wish for subconsiously as well. Well, if its something good, ok lah. Tapi, kalau tak, tak ke naya.
Macam myself, I think I subconciously wished that my babies would be easy to be taken care of and independent. And, Alhamdullillah, Tuhan bagi I baby yang sedemikian.
So, please don't feel like its weird to talk to your baby dalam perut tu ok. Its never too late to start. :)
p.s: Ustaz Don also said that doa ibu bapa adalah doa yang paling mustajab, inshaAllah.
p.ps: Another thing I like to do is to semayang jemaah with my husband and ajak the boys sama. Now best becos Dani can iqamat. Of course Andi just tonggek kejap pastu sujud but its a start, kan? Ustaz Don kata, as parents, we should do what we want our kids to follow and refrain from doing things we dont want our kids to do.
